Hochschild Mining anunció en un comunicado que Dionisio Romero Paoletti, director no ejecutivo de la empresa minera, adquirió 55,169 acciones el 14 de diciembre de 2021 a un precio de 1.37 libras por acción. Hochschild Mining fue notificada de la compra el 21 de febrero de 2022.
En un comunicado del año 2021, la junta de accionistas de Hochschild Mining expresó, “la junta toma nota de las continuas preocupaciones de los accionistas en relación con la disponibilidad del Sr. Romero a la luz del número de juntas que cotizan en bolsa de las que es miembro”.
En aquella oportunidad Romero Paoletti fue el director con más votos en contra de los accionistas. Mientras que estos aprueban la reelección de Ignacio Bustamante con el 99.96%, Romero solo lo hace con el 61.06%.

Romero Paoletti forma parte de Hochschild como director nominado de Pelham Investment Corporation, principal accionista de la minera, que en última instancia es controlada por Eduardo Hochschild.
