Las tasas de interés de referencia en Estados Unidos permanecerán en un rango que va de 0,25% a 0,5%, informó la Fed, la Reserva Federal, en un comunicado hecho público durante su reunión de dos días de este mes.

La Fed dijo que continúa vigilando la marcha de la economía mundial. El que no se variara la tasa de interés era un hecho esperado por los analistas económicos que saben que todavía hay mucha incertidumbre sobre la economía mundial.

El Comité de Política Monetaria de la Fed también aprovechó para modificar su estimado de crecimiento para la actividad productiva de Estados Unidos, esta vez, definió un menor crecimiento.

En efecto, la Fed ahora espera que el PBI de la mayor economía del globo cresca en el último trimestre un 2%, cuando sus estimaciones previas eran de un crecimiento de 2,2%.
